Buffer Time

Add extra time before or after appointments for preparation and cleanup.


What is Buffer Time?

Buffer time is extra time automatically blocked around your appointments. It's not shown to customers but ensures you have time to prepare for the next client or clean up after a service.

Types of Buffer Time

  • Before Buffer – Time blocked before the appointment starts. Useful for setup, greeting, or consultation.
  • After Buffer – Time blocked after the appointment ends. Useful for cleanup, notes, or preparing for the next client.

Setting Buffer Time

  1. Go to Services and select a service
  2. Click "Edit"
  3. Scroll to "Buffer Time" section
  4. Set the before and/or after buffer (5, 10, 15, 30 minutes)
  5. Click "Save"

Example

A 60-minute massage with a 15-minute after buffer:

  • Customer books at 2:00 PM
  • Service runs from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM (60 min)
  • Buffer blocks 3:00 PM - 3:15 PM (15 min)
  • Next available slot: 3:15 PM

Tip: Customers only see the service duration. Buffer time is invisible to them but ensures you're never double-booked without a break.
